“Wood is normally an insulator but will conduct electricity when struck by lightning. The resins and water in the wood turn to steam and explode the tree.”

if emma was sent was sent to our world through a magical wardrobe, does that mean she came out of the closet
That also means August came out of the closet too…

It’s all in the Name
If it’s one thing Rumpelstiltskin teaches us it’s the importance of one’s name. With that being said today at work I realized something about Regina’s last name Mills. Cora was the daughter of a miller, so Miller=Mills. Which makes sense because centuries ago people’s last names were derived from the family’s occupation.
With that thought it made me wonder about the other Storybrooke character’s last names.
Archie Hopper and Sidney Glass: We can tell right away that their last names are highly suggestive of their FTL counterparts.
Mr. Gold: Well he is a pawnbroker and pawnbrokers are known to deal in gold and silver. That and Rumple had gold teeth in FTL.
Mary Margret Blanchard: After a little digging I found this, “The name Blanchard comes from the French “blanc” or “blanche,” meaning “white.” (source) hmmm….I wonder why that could be her last name….hmmm…lol XD
David and Kathryn Nolan: According to Ancestry.com this what Nolan means, “a personal name representing a diminutive of nuall ‘famous’, ‘noble’ “ Though Prince James wasn’t born a noble he did become one.
Emma Swan: I think we all pretty much feel that she represents the ugly duckling. The ugly duckling of course turning into a swan. So it’s know doubt that that’s who she represents.
I’ll go one more person so as not to bore everyone.
August Wayne Booth: I wondered if the name Wayne Booth meant anything or if the writers made it up. But the writers are smarter then that. When I googled Wayne Booth I got a man by the name of Wayne C Booth. He apparently is an American literary critic. (you can read more HERE) makes sense August is a writer.
So the OUAT writers have totally done their work, when it comes to names :)

OUAT
Is it just me or did anyone else notice that in the intro to the show when it talks about breaking the curse, it doesn’t just show Emma but it now shows August too!? Does this mean he is meant to help break the curse?
