I’m Not a Joke is a campaign spreading awareness for the LGBTI community through art and design, created by Daniel Arzola (@Arzola_d) for the school of Visual Arts Rafael Monasterios in light of the recent violent acts against the sexually diverse community in Venezuela. It initially seeks to expand in the online community. If you’d like to share your opinion please do so via twitter using the hashtag #ImNotaJoke. Like our page on Facebook and share our designs to support our cause!
I’ve posted this before in Spanish, but here it is in English.

I wonder how quickly supporting queer issues will fall out of vogue once gay marriage is legalized.

http://noahray.chipin.com/noahs-top-surgery
This is Noah.
He’s an amazing, caring, hardworking transman who needs top surgery to feel comfortable in his own body. The issue is this surgery costs $6,500 not including round trip airfare across the country (for him and one helper), money for a place to stay for the required week, cost of rental car, and post-op equipment. All in all it usually runs about $8,000-$8,500.
Without this surgery (for those who need it) it is common for trans individuals to spiral into serious depression or worse because they are unable to live the life they were truly meant for.
One dollar would help. Please, he is worth every cent. He deserves this.
